Visas

New Caledonia has specific rules for visas, and is represented by French consulates.

Delegates are invited to contact the French consulate authorities of their respective countries for VISA information.

Indicatively, New Caledonia authorities indicated to 10ICSHMO that as of November 2011, no visa were needed for:

  • Argentina
  • Australia
  • Brazil
  • Chili
  • China: you don’t need a visa if you have a passport from Hong-Kong or Macau, or if you have a “circulation visa”.
  • South Corea
  • Japan
  • Malaysia
  • New Zealand (and Niue if you have a NZ passport)
  • Norway
  • The 27 states of the European Union
  • Venezuela
  • United States of America
  • Western Samoa

Visa is needed for all other countries.
